Brass heraldic shield decorative plaque from France, dating to circa 1900–1910, measuring 32 cm high by 23 cm wide and 2 cm deep, in good used condition with minor signs of age, titled Heráldica Flor de Lis.
Description from the seller
It is a brass heraldic piece from the early 20th century, conceived as a decorative item but with an almost ceremonial presence.
The shield, with a hammered surface and deep texture, is dominated by three relief fleur-de-lis, one central larger and two upper ones smaller, all sculpted with a soft volume that catches the light and creates elegant shadows on the golden metal.
The background, worked with a scale-like pattern or irregular hammer marks, adds dynamism and an artisanal vibe that recalls the metal workshops of the first half of the last century. That contrast between the vibrant surface and the crisp fleur-de-lis — historic symbol of nobility, purity and lineage — makes the piece a object of strong symbolic meaning.
The brass, with its warm patina and slightly darkened by time, adds depth and authenticity. It is not a bright, new finish, but one that has aged with character, reinforcing its historical aesthetic. The shield shape, classic and well-proportioned, completes the composition with sober balance.
Overall, it is a decorative piece that combines heraldic tradition, metal craftsmanship, and a vintage charm very much of the twentieth century.
Tracked shipping and careful packaging.
