Description from the seller

Old and rare silent Bingoscope projector "C1", manual drive model, for 9.5 mm films, made in the United Kingdom, circa 1935. The projector is in very good condition, considering it is 90 years old. It functions mechanically well, but the lamp has not been tested because the operating voltage cannot be seen (the lamp socket is not original and has been adapted, and the lamp itself is not accessible). The projector comes with the following accessories:

- 1 Beautiful wooden case, measuring 32.5 cm x 32 cm x 19.5 cm;
- 1 Rare complete set of 2 Pathé Baby films "Le gras et le maigre" or "Laurel and Hardy";
- 1 postcard of "Laurel and Hardy".

One of the names seen on simple, 9.5 mm cinema projectors from the United Kingdom dating from the 1930s is Bingoscope. We know it was manufactured in the United Kingdom because it bears the mark "Made in England".

The old Meccano magazine provided some advertisements in the 1930s. Those adverts tell us that Bingoscope was distributed by Leon Rees & Co., 12 New Union Street, London EC2, United Kingdom.

This set weighs 5.1 kg and is a superb addition to any collection of early cinema or to decorate a space.

Images 15 and 51 are for information only and are not part of the Lot.
Please see the attached photos to check the overall condition. The photos form part of the description.
