Italian vintage wall lamp in Hollywood Regency style with golden brass (ottone dorato) frame, white opal glass shade and amber glass detailing, measuring 36 x 18 x 26 cm, one fitting, dating from 1960s–1970s and in very good condition, in working order and originating from Italia.
Description from the seller
Vintage Hollywood Regency style wall lamp, aged brass, white opaline glass and amber glass, European manufacture from the 1960s-1970s.
Refined vintage wall lamp in Hollywood Regency style, characterized by a scenographic combination of aged brass, white opaline glass and decorative amber glass.
The lamp features a wall mount with a rectangular plate in aged brass and a curved, slender arm that supports the luminous body with a soft, theatrical line. The upper shade is made of glossy white opaline glass, wide and harmonious in form, inspired by antique oil lamps. The lower edge is adorned with a thin perforated metal gallery, a decorative detail that enriches the ensemble and emphasizes its retro mood.
Particularly interesting is the lower amber glass element, worked with a wavy and bulging profile, reminiscent of the oil reservoir of antique lamps. The golden tone of the glass resonates with the warm shine of the brass, creating a rich, welcoming luminosity and a strong decorative charm.
In terms of style, materials and construction, the applique is attributable to European production from the latter half of the 20th century, probably the 1960s-70s, close to French or Italian decorative tastes of the period. In the absence of a visible mark or original documentation, the manufacturer cannot be identified with certainty; the piece can nevertheless be likened to opaline and brass productions common in the period, with references to Hollywood Regency aesthetics and European workshops specializing in decorative glass for lighting.
The restrained yet scenographic proportions make it ideal as a decorative light source in entryways, corridors, bedrooms, living rooms, or reading corners. It is a lamp capable of lending character and warmth to the space, perfect both in vintage interiors and in contemporary settings where one wishes to insert a luminous element with strong ornamental value.
From a collectible standpoint, the applique stands out for the decorative quality of the overall design, the contrast between white opaline and amber glass, and the presence of the aged-brass mounting, elements typical of retro European lighting with elegant and theatrical taste.
Dimensions: height 36 cm, width 18 cm, depth 26 cm.
Shows normal signs compatible with age and use, which do not compromise its aesthetic and decorative appeal.
Proper packaging and traceable shipping across Europe
