Description from the seller
This American Kodak 35 viewfinder camera is of excellent design quality and consists of hard bakelite.
From research I have read that this camera, number 86697, was built around 1939-39 because Kodak only started using a numerical code table in 1940.
The camera has an f4.5/51mm Anastigmat lens, which was the better and more expensive sibling of the f5.6 lens. The viewfinder is exceptionally clear and uses parallax correction. Shutter speeds of the Diomatic operate from B, T 1/25 sec up to 1/150 sec. The camera has combined diaphragm and shutter blades.
To operate the camera, a film must actually be loaded. But… the camera can be manipulated or fooled. This is done by removing the back cover of the camera. Then one sees on the right side a doubly toothed gear. First, press at the top of the top plate (next to the film advance knob) on the small metal ball just above the film counter scale. Now you can manually turn the doubly toothed gear until you hear the shutter click. Now the camera is cocked and ready to print a photo.
The camera offered is in a very excellent and very good working condition. All functions such as shutter speeds and diaphragm perform excellently. Opening the film back lid is very smooth. The lens is undamaged and free of scratches, mold, and haze.
The camera is highly valued for its very compact housing, attractive design, light weight, sharpness, and color reproduction.
Will be very carefully packed and shipped with Track & Trace number and insurance.
NOTA:
I always ship my goods with Track & Trace number and insurance to prevent possible damage and theft. Please note that for these reasons shipping costs may be higher. If you cannot agree to this, please do not place bids in advance. Thank you in advance.
