Description from the seller
Description:
In an auction, a fascinating piece from the famous Mattel Dolls of the World line: the Chilean Barbie, released in 1997 as a Collector Edition. This collection is historically one of the most loved by collectors for the way it celebrates the cultures, traditions and typical clothing of various countries around the world.
The doll wears a traditional outfit inspired by huasos (Chilean cowboys), reinterpreted in an elegantly feminine key. The outfit consists of a short black bolero-style jacket with white detailing, a white blouse embellished with a lace ruffle at the collar and cuffs, and a black fitted skirt with a spectacular cascade of white lace on the side. At the waist, a tricolor sash with the colors of the Chilean flag (white, red and blue) stands out. The look is completed by the typical wide-brim black hat with a chin cord and a pair of black boots.
