Description from the seller
Description:
In auction a magnificent collectible piece from the famous Dolls of the World Collection line: the Polish Barbie (Barbie Polacca), marketed by Mattel in the late 1990s. This model is a refined Collector Edition and wears a faithful and colorful reproduction of the traditional Polish costume (strój ludowy), typical for celebrations and folkloric dances like the Mazurka or the Polka.
The doll features a white blouse with a high collar and sleeves finished with ruffles, a black embroidered bodice with floral motifs and intertwined ribbons on the front, and a multicolor vertical-striped skirt (red, yellow, light blue and blue) partly covered by an elegant white lace apron. The very long blonde hair is styled in traditional two side braids, adorned with red bows and crowned with a beautiful flower wreath (wianek) on the head.
