Elegant vintage roll-top desk (bureau à cylindre) in classic English style, made in the second half of the 20th century. The piece is built in precious dark mahogany wood and is enriched with brass fittings.
Inside the desk presents a writing surface coordinated in green imitation leather or leather, three open compartments for documents and a series of small lateral drawers with brass knobs. The lower section of the structure consists of two adjacent drawers with a lock and three large full-width drawers underneath, decorated with conspicuous hanging handles in antique brass. The furniture rests stably on classic bracket feet. A piece with timeless charm, capable of combining traditional aesthetics with maximum functionality for study or living room.
Conditions
The piece is in generally good vintage condition. It shows normal and slight signs of wear, small superficial scratches and a patina of time coherent with its age and use, which preserve its authenticity and historical character. The lock of the right-hand drawer is not functioning because the spring is missing.
