Description from the seller
Miguel de Miguel – International Visual Artist*
Miguel is a Spanish visual artist who began his career in 1980 and has built a solid and emotionally intense trajectory, recognized worldwide. He has exhibited in cities such as New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Buenos Aires and Mexico City, and his work is part of some of the most important collections internationally. He currently lives and creates in Italy.
His painting combines figuration and abstraction with a personal language, where vibrant color, symbolic forms and deep textures speak of identity, memory and inner silence. Faceless figures, symbolic natures and scenes suspended in time form a poetic and sensitive universe.
With more than four decades of creation, Miguel de Miguel offers a body of work that is not just observed: it is experienced from the most intimate. An art that crosses borders, styles and words.
Two presences emerge from a space suspended between matter and memory. His faces, barely hinted, renounce individual identity to become symbols of a shared energy. Color unfolds as a vital force that traverses the figures, fusing the human and the spiritual in a single stream of transformation.
The forms are built from the tension between free gesture and structure, while chromatic contrasts evoke a silent dialogue between interior and exterior, consciousness and mystery. The two figures do not face each other nor separate; they inhabit a single field of resonance, like flames born from a common source.
The work invites contemplation of identity not as a fixed form, but as a continuous process of encounter, reflection and transcendence. In that space of connection, a serene presence emerges that transcends the visible and opens the door to a poetic reading of being.
