This type of warming set, in the antiques world also known as a boulloire, is executed in a evocative, classical style with Art Nouveau influences.
The pot features a characteristic wooden handle and a wooden lid knob. These wooden elements originally served as insulation to ward off the heat of the boiling water. The rechaud is decorated with openwork motifs and stylized leaf scrolls on the sides, in which the teapot sits stably. At the bottom the set is marked with the well-known quality stamp of an angel with a heraldic shield, bearing the curved inscription "90% TIN".
