Offered is an exceptional pair of original swivel chairs from East German furniture production, manufactured in Naumburg in the 1970s.

The chairs merge the clean design language of Mid-Century Modern with functional European design and impress with their elegant silhouette, high seating comfort, and solid craftsmanship.

Particularly noteworthy are the truly original spring-core upholstery, the sturdy swivel mechanism, and the characteristic star feet made of chrome-plated metal.

Condition
The chairs are in a well-kept vintage condition with authentic age-related patina.

For sale preparation, the upholstery surfaces were professionally cleaned with textile cleaner.

The fabrics present themselves overall very attractively, the padding appears stable in form and comfortable. Age- and wear-related traces on the frame and underside are present and consistent with the age of the furniture.

One chair has slightly stiffer swiveling movement than the other. However, the swivel function is fully intact and usable.

The original spring-core construction is preserved and underscores the high quality of these seating pieces.
