Description from the seller
Kenwood KA-801 vintage amplifier for sale in excellent condition (original and serviced by an expert technician - TeleArt Verona - revision respectful of the amplifier's originality) to compose a high-quality analog system, including for vinyl.
Description: The Kenwood KA-801 is a vintage integrated amplifier (made between 1979 and 1981) highly regarded by hi-fi enthusiasts, with 110 W per channel into 8 ohms, Dual Mono (dual power transformers: this ensures excellent channel separation and a substantial energy reserve). It is a High-Speed DC amplifier and can drive any speaker. The sound is characterized as transparent, analytical, with exceptional control over the bass range, yet with the warmth typical of 70s-80s amplifiers. Quality phono stage with built-in pre-phono section and significantly superior to that of many modern amplifiers. Brushed aluminum front panel, analog VU meters and toggle switches. Construction: Phono inputs 1, 2 MM, Tuner, Aux, Tape Play A, B and Tape 2 DIN.
Serious inquiries only. Shipping costs and liability for damage are the buyer's responsibility, although in-person pickup would be preferable given the size and value, with possible discount. Available for listening by appointment. Available for video demonstration and internal photos. Some minor signs of wear (top).
SPECIFICATIONS: Output power: 110 W RMS per channel into 8 ohms. Frequency response: 20 Hz to 20 kHz, Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): 0.015%, Damping factor: 100. Speaker impedance: 4-16 ohms. Dimensions: 44 x 15 x 40 cm. Weight: 17.5 kg.
