Edgardo Curcio (1881-1923) - Scorcio paesano

Edgardo Curcio (Naples 1881 - Torre del Greco 1923) painter equidistant between the radical avant-garde of the futurists and the passatist fate of the many Neapolitan eighteenth/nineteenth century painters of the century, Edgardo Curcio fully expresses the post-impressionist and secessionist ferment of that moderate avant-garde which was the “Secessione dei Ventitré”.
The proposed work is a textured oil on masonite board in which the painter depicts a countryside view of the beloved Campania. The painting measures 44x30 cm and is still in good condition.
Signed at the bottom right. On the back it bears the identifying document of the work.
