Xiao Shun Zhi, whose real name is Xiao Guilian, was born in 1956 in Guilian and attended the Guangxi Art Academy, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1984. In 1991 he completed training in Chinese painting at the Academy of Fine Arts. From 1990 to 1992 he undertook an additional postgraduate program in Chinese painting at the Guangzhou Academy. Today he is a professor of art at Guangxi University and a member of the Chinese Art Society.

Xiao Shun Zhi, seine eigentliche Name ist Xiao Guilian, wurde in 1956 in Guilian geboren und hat die Kunstakademie von Guangxi besucht wo er als Bachelor of Arts in 1984 graduierte. In 1991 absolvierte er eine Ausbildung in Chinesischer Malerei an der Akademie of  fine Arts. Von 1990 bis 1992 absolvierte er eine zusätzliche  postgraduate Ausbildung in Chinesischer Malerei an der Akademie von Guangzhou. Heute ist er Professor für Kunst an der Guangxi Universität und Mitglied in der Chinesischen Kunstgesellschaft.
