Roman terracotta statuette titled "Harp-Playing Goddess" dating to the 2nd–3rd century AD, depicting a harp-playing goddess seated with two young girls, height 17.2 cm and width 8.6 cm, beige‑orange with traces of white engobe, in good condition with a slight restoration; acquired in 2025 from Galerie/Antiquaire in France from a private French collection, authenticity original, legally obtained with provenance verified.

Harp-playing goddess among young girls.
Elegant Roman terracotta statuette depicting a harp-playing goddess.
She is seated facing forward, feet resting on a stool. She wears a long pleated tunic. Her hair is styled in a diadem, gathered at the back in a bun. The face is revealed, the nose straight and the lips thin. In her right hand she holds a tall trigonal harp, plucking the strings with the left hand.
Two young girls are arranged on either side.
Roman period, 2nd/3rd century AD
Height: 17.2 cm, width: 8.6 cm
The features are modeled in relief, the body forms are elegant.
A charming statuette,
Beige-orange terracotta, traces of white engobe.
Excellent conservation state - slight restoration
