Description from the seller
N. 24 original drawings by artist Angelo Todaro, born in Fragagnano (Ta) on 17/12/1945, died on 22/03/2025, created to illustrate the historical novel “Il sogno e la storia,” published by Scorpione editrice. From the founding of Rome and Taranto, to the invasion of Sicily. The drawings depict the war in Sicily; they are war scenes with period costumes and weapons. They are original and exclusive and have value not only artistic but also historical. The drawings are part of the second volume. This historical novel was created to tell the history of the founding of Rome and Taranto. Orazio visits the artist in a dream and accompanies him in reconstructing history. At first it was published in comic strips in the Taranto daily newspaper “Il corriere del giorno,” then it was turned into magazines, and finally, two volumes were produced, making it a very well‑regarded historical novel, especially for the illustrations. Please refrain from making offers below 10 euros per drawing, as I might not hear them.
