Ancient column or base in Baroque style (originally a torciera or altar candle holder), characterized by a richly carved shaft with balustrade motifs typical of Italian Baroque craftsmanship. The base is tripodal, curved and decorated with volutes, while the central shaft alternates shaped knots, moldings, and carved leaves. Made of carved wood, it features a dark or patinated finish with an aged effect, with traces of original gilding and silvering. These monumental candelabras were predominantly created for liturgical decoration of altars. 
Consition: good with normal signs of age and use, old termite holes and missing parts, as shown in the photos. 
Height is about 85 cm, base about 30x28 cm, weight over 3 kg.

 Antica colonna  o base  in stile Barocco (in origine  torciera o portacero da altare), caratterizzato da un fusto riccamente intagliato con motivi a balaustra  tipica dell'artigianato barocco italiano. La base è tripode, mossa e decorata con volute, mentre il fusto centrale alterna nodi sagomati, modanature e foglie intagliate 
realizzato in legno intagliato  ,presenta una finitura scura o patinata a mecca  "effetto invecchiato" , con tracce di doratura e  argentatura originale. Questi candelieri monumentali nascevano prevalentemente per l'arredo liturgico degli altari. 
Buone le  condizioni tracce normali del tempo e del consumo, vecchi fori di tarli e mancanze, come in foto .
L altezza e di 85 cm circa ,con base 30x28 cm circa ,peso oltre 3 kg
