Description from the seller
Nikon Nikonos II + W-Nikkor 35mm f/2.5 — Iconic 1968 Japanese Amphibious 35mm Camera, Land & Underwater Use, No Battery Required
This is a Nikon Nikonos II, the legendary amphibious 35mm camera produced by Nippon Kogaku from 1968 to 1976. Developed from the original Calypso-Phot designed in collaboration with Jacques Cousteau, the Nikonos II is rated for use down to 50 m underwater and is equally usable on land. Paired with the standard W-Nikkor 35mm f/2.5 — a 6-element Gauss-type lens computed for both above-water and underwater optical performance — this is the camera that defined underwater photography for two decades and is now a highly collectible piece of camera history.
