Roman antique glass dropper flask with an oval body, chevron ornamentation, lime-green to brownish translucent glass, funnel mouth, 79 × 46 × 46 mm, dating to the 3rd–5th century BC, produced in Syria and acquired from a French private collection in 2024, in very good condition with a stabilized base crack and a small chip, authentic and original.
Description from the seller
Dropping-leaf bottle with an ovoid molded belly, decorated with chevron motifs. The decorations consist of parallel zigzag lines.
Flat and slightly concave base at its center, in translucent glass of greenish-brown color, presence of earthy deposits.
Funnel mouth, rounded lip, cylindrical neck pinched at the base and equipped with a dropper device inside.
