Up for auction is an exceptionally rare, museum-grade piece of industrial electrical history: a complete High Voltage Fuse Tong (Fuse Puller) crafted from genuine vintage Bakelite, still gripping its original S&C Electric Company High Voltage Cartridge Fuse.

I personally rescued it during the demolition of an old, historic glass factory. Used for decades to safely manage the massive electrical power supply needed for the factory's glass ovens, this tool survived the wrecking ball. It is an authentic, untampered piece of factory heritage.

Unlike more common wooden variants, this premium tool is engineered from heavy, dark authentic Bakelite. This revolutionary early plastic was specifically chosen in high-risk electrical environments for its superior insulation properties and complete resistance to moisture.

The heavy copper contact caps at the ends of the porcelain fuse feature their original factory silver-plating, displaying a gorgeous, authentic dark patina that underlines its age.
