Pair of porcelain cachepots from Wächtersbach in Germany, dating to circa 1910 with Jugendstil/Art Nouveau styling, hand-painted multicolour decoration on a white base, incised mark 3709/3, dimensions 46 cm high by 52 cm wide and 52 cm deep, in excellent condition and comprising two objects.

Wächtersbacher Keramik, from Wächtersbach, Hesse, Germany. Founded in 1832 by Prince Adolf of Isenburg-Wächtersbach
Wächtersbach, Jugendstil, Art Nouveau, cachepot, German flowerpot, ceramic 1900, antique planter, Sezession Wächtersbach was one of the key manufacturers of German Art Nouveau ceramics. Production of high quality but aimed at the bourgeoisie. Typology of the mark: Used by the manufacturer between 1900-1930.
Incised mark: "3709/3" - Corresponds to the model/shape number in the factory catalog. The "/3" indicates the size.
Formal Description
Shape: Cylindrical body with straight walls and an inverted truncated-cone base. Upper edge with a flat lip.
Decoration: Ivory white background with polychrome under-glaze decoration. Main motif of a garland of stylized green leaves with orange-centered roses in a spiral. Finished at the top with a stylized bow in light blue with a yellow square at the center. Double border in ochre-yellow under the rim.
Technique: Hand-painted decoration
