Description from the seller
Japanese vintage desk lamp – model UN‑240 – 1960s/70s – low voltage
Stylish and characterful vintage desk lamp from Japan, dating from the 1960s–70s. This functional design has a typical mid-century look, with an elegant swan neck and a minimalist conical shade.
The lamp is finished in a warm cream color and features a decorative wood-look panel in the base. Thanks to the flexible metal arm, the light is easy to aim, ideal as a reading or desk lamp.
What is special about this model is the low-voltage technology (12V) with an internal transformer, which at the time was characteristic of high-quality desk lighting. The nameplate under the lamp reads: Model UN‑240, 220/240V – 50/60 Hz, 12V 15cp bulb, Japan, which confirms it is an original Japanese export product.

Period: approx. 1965–1975
Material: metal, plastic and wood-look finish
Flexible swan neck
Low-voltage system (12V) with internal transformer
