Description from the seller
Lead crystal wine and table glassware service (minimum PbO content 24%) consisting of a total of 59 pieces. The items are produced by the French manufacturer Cristal d'Arques / J.G. Durand and belong to the "Florence Satine" model, dating from the late 20th century (roughly 1980s–1990s). The production region specified is Hauts-de-France, the city of Arques. The design belongs to the modernist vintage style and is characterized by a satinized ice-effect finish on the lower part of the bowls, with a staggered petal pattern coordinated to each format. When the glasses are displayed or stacked together, the geometry and proximity of the satin bases visually recreate a striking and elegant bouquet-like effect as a whole. The stem of the goblets is slender and features a button-like knob at the junction with the bowl. Each piece bears the official manufacturer's signature engraved on the bottom of the circular foot. The crystal is clear, bright, and of light weight.
The service is divided by formats and dimensions as follows:
- 11 tall champagne flutes (Flute-type) for champagne (Height: about 19.5 cm, Diameter: about 5.7 cm).
- 11 large water-service glasses (Height: about 17.5 cm, Diameter: about 8.5 cm).
- 10 small wine glasses (Height: about 16.5 cm, Diameter: about 7.5 cm).
- 10 bowls for champagne or dessert (Height: about 13.5 cm, Diameter: about 10.0 cm).
- 11 low tumblers for whisky or water (Height: about 9.0 cm, Diameter: about 8.0 cm).
- 6 balloon-type glasses for brandy or liqueur (Height: about 11.5 cm, Diameter: about 8.0 cm).
The service is in excellent condition, like new, with no signs of wear from use or washing. The satin finish is intact and free of scratches. The crystal is clear and shows no chips, cracks, or threading along the rims or bases.
Shipping is carried out by traceable express courier and is divided into two separate parcels for safety and total weight reasons (estimated final package weight about 13–14 kg). The packing is done professionally and reinforced, with each individual piece wrapped in protective shock-absorbing material.
