Banksy, GDP Flower Thrower, a 2019 silkscreen limited edition print from the Gross Domestic Product exhibition in the United Kingdom, measuring 76.5 cm by 57.5 cm and printed on 50 gsm paper, not signed and in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Official Banksy Flower Thrower screen print from the Gross Domestic Product exhibition.
Only 3 screen prints were created for this Banksy event as limited editions, this one, GDP Crisis As Usual and GDP Rat, very rare and highly sought after, only 1000 prints believed to be printed.
Banksy announced this exclusive artwork on his Instagram detailing a disused shop in Croydon that would showcase his art. The shop itself never actually opened, but the exhibition could be viewed through the window for two weeks only, from the 1st of October until the 13th of October.
Originally only given to children who came to the event with their parents but on the last day, security guards dressed as shopkeepers in brown coats gave out this iconic Flower Thrower print tightly rolled up along with 2 other prints as gifts to the people who viewed this exhibition, this is one of those very prints, it was screen printed onto 50 gsm paper which is very thin and delicate, the rippling in the paper and yellowing is normal for this print, the image is almost transparent on the reverse side due to the very thin paper its printed on to.
Limited edition of only 1000 copies, will look amazing framed up.
Dimensions
Height 76.5 cm
Width 57.5 cm
Great investment, sent tracked and fully insured worldwide.
Condition : complex printing process to create it which leaves the characteristic "creases", size and features unique to this print, this is in fact, excellent condition.
The winning bidder will receive a copy of my Croydon parking ticket dated 13th of October 2019 as full provenance
