Nordmende Mambo Portable Transistor Radio (c. 1960–1963, West Germany) – Tested & Working
A beautiful Nordmende Mambo portable transistor radio, manufactured in West Germany during the early 1960s. An iconic Mid-Century design featuring a cream faux-leather cabinet, striking asymmetrical gold-tone speaker grille, circular tuning dial, and original carry strap.
Tested and fully working, receiving both MW and LW. Powered by two 4.5V flat batteries (included).
A charming detail is the original handwritten maintenance notes inside the back cover, documenting battery replacements and servicing between 2001 and 2004—a wonderful piece of the radio's history.

Nordmende was renowned for its premium German engineering and elegant design, making the Mambo a highly collectible example of early transistor radio craftsmanship.
