This work is delivered with its velvet embroidered cover, signed KARL LAGASSE, handmade in Normandy.

Karl Lagasse, a renowned artist, gained prominence in 2009 with his One Dollar sculptures, ranking among the ten best sculptors under 30 years old that year according to Artprice. In 2012, the New York publication Farameh named him one of the fifty best contemporary artists, inspired by traditional American icons, in its work FOR WHICH IT STANDS: Americana in Contemporary Art. More recently, in 2016, at the Art Paris Art Fair, the President of the French Republic warmly congratulated Karl on his impressive 2-meter bronze sculpture One Dollar, exhibited at the Grand Palais.
Karl’s artistic journey began at age 7 with collages, prompted by his meeting with sculptor César Baldaccini. He later turned to tagging and graffiti in the Paris metro while remaining passionate about collages. Artist Yvaral Vasarely encouraged him to fuse his tags with his collages. In 2003, Karl prepared his first exhibition in Paris, which led to his first solo show in 2006 at the Isy Brachot gallery in Brussels. In 2008, he returned to Paris with an exhibition combining paintings, sculptures, and video elements at the Espace Pierre Cardin.
2026: - Finalization of the work One Dollar Green Bronze 8 meters 7 tons. The largest One Dollar sculpture in the world created by the artist.
2025: - Installation of the monumental work Reflection of the Sun. Installed near the all-new Pavillon des Bains, on the Promenade Michel d’Ornano, inaugurated by Mayor Philippe Augier on September 8.
2024: - Art Miami - Collectives Expositions Galerie Nicolas Auvray New York. For the occasion, a bronze cryptogram of 1.80m and a 2-meter One Dollar were exhibited during the event.
