An extraordinary "time-capsule" archive for the serious historian or bibliophile. This Victorian Legal Document Case, measuring 30 x 24cm, is presented in museum-grade, excellent condition. Crafted from thick, premium English leather with a stunning deep patina, it features the crisp initials "ALJC" stamped on the front, the 'JC' is likely to have been for 'Justice's Clerk' as this was the practice at the time.

Rarely seen in such preserved state, the case still contains its original matching leather blotter book.

The Archive:
This folio serves as an archive, containing a collection of original 18th and 19th-century documents. These hand-penned documents offer a visceral connection to the Georgian and Victorian eras, featuring traditional calligraphy and the unique texture of antique rag-paper.
