Circa 1880, 19x26 cm.
"Danseuse mauresque en toilette de noce", a very beautiful period albumen print, in very good condition with preserved contrasts, gray nuances, and levels of detail from TTB to Superb, by Etienne and Antonin Neurdein.
Signed and titled at the bottom of the negative.
The value of this print lies in the fact that it is not mounted on an album page or cardboard support, which is rare.
Deserves framing.
Will be shipped with its neutral pH pouch (ideal for a collection in good condition).
The Neurdein Brothers (Étienne and Antonin Neurdein) were French photographers and publishers active at the end of the 19th century. Based in Paris, they founded in the 1860s a major photographic workshop that quickly became one of the leading editors of tourist and documentary images. The Neurdeins produced and distributed numerous photographs of monuments, cities and landscapes, in France as well as abroad, notably in Egypt, North Africa and the Middle East.
