Clock - - Oak - 1920-1930 - Napoleon-Hat Mantel Clock

This is a classic example of a 'Napoleon hat' or 'bicorne' mantel clock, a style that was enormously popular in European households during the interwar period.

The case is made of dark oak and features a distinctive curved shape and a decorative floral-motif moulding along the base.

The silvered dial, protected by a glass dome door, shows clear Arabic numerals and contains two winding arbors for a mechanical movement, which is normally designed to strike on the hour and half-hour.

Condition:
In excellent condition, it works and strikes on time.
