In 2003 Yannick Leniger started with graffiti painting and gained experience in night-time actions handling spray paints and the textures of various substrates.
2010 Yannick Leniger began creating his characteristic works from the Flowering series, which have enjoyed great popularity. By combining spray paints and acrylic, Yannick Leniger developed several techniques that produce unique effects in the works.
These mixed techniques can also be found in Yannick Leniger's current works. Influenced by artists such as Christiaan Lieverse and Pier Toffoletti, the current works depict people, elaborated in conjunction with texture-providing means. In several steps parts are masked, revised, and highlighted.
From 2019 to 2022 Yannick Leniger was a member and treasurer of Kunstforderer e.V. in Unna and supported the association in a variety of creative projects with children and adolescents, schools and after-school programs. Since 2023 Yannick Leniger has been the first chairman of Kunstforderer e.V. in Unna.
