Description from the seller
GENERAL
This Mercedes-Benz 250S belongs to the emblematic W108 generation, a series designed by Paul Bracq that defined the brand's luxury in the late sixties. Built in 1967, the vehicle is equipped with a 2.5-liter inline-six M108 engine with twin carburetion that originally develops around 130 horsepower. This particular unit, which shows an odometer reading of 6,700 kilometers, comes with a four-speed automatic transmission and has as a factory optional extra an electric sunroof that works perfectly. It has been owned for two years by a Madrid-based collector of the brand who keeps it in constant use and enjoys it monthly at classic car rallies and trips ranging from 100 to 300 kilometers, which proves that it behaves as a fully reliable car for travel.
CARROSSERIE AND PAINT
The bodywork presents a well-chosen color combination that pairs its exterior gray with the Camel tone of the upholstery. Overall, the paint retains an intense shine and a very aesthetic appearance, allowing immediate enjoyment of the car without the need for urgent cosmetic modifications. The vehicle shows the logical signs of time passing and some localized areas of superficial rust that can be examined in detail in the attached photo report.
MECHANICS
The mechanical side is up to date thanks to regular maintenance by the specialist in charge of the owner’s collection, who has just carried out a full tune-up along with an oil and filter change. The six-cylinder engine starts first time, both cold and warm, while the automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The car has no maintenance outstanding and is ready to drive.
INTERIOR
In the cabin, what is believed to be the original Camel-colored leather upholstery stands out, well preserved and with the logical creases from use and decades of wear, showing the patina characteristic of a well-loved classic but without noteworthy rips. The interior headliner is in generally good condition, and the electric sunroof operates optimally, also ensuring complete watertightness with no water ingress when it rains.
PICK-UP
The car is physically located in Madrid, Spain, an ideal location due to its dry climate which has helped preserve the vehicle very well, plus it has been kept in a garage for its entire life. If the sale is successful, the seller offers the advantage of up to 20 days of free storage before its removal.
OTHER INFORMATION
The undercarriage shows a good overall condition, displaying only a minimal amount of superficial rust due to the car’s age. This slight condition does not affect the overall structure since the car has resided for many years in Madrid’s dry environment, shielded from the excessive humidity that usually harms the undersides of these models.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
