Hello,
I am selling this magnificent varied lot of old and historical banknotes, ideal for starting a collection or for history enthusiasts. The lot includes about fifty banknotes, mainly from Europe and the world (20th century).
Highlights of the lot:
Historic WWII banknote: 1 Lira "Allied Military Currency" (1943), military currency issued by the Allied forces during the liberation of Italy.
Notes with legal tender still exchangeable: 2 five Dollar notes from Canada.
Ireland (Rare Series): 3 notes of 1 Pound (£1) with the famous Lady Lavery effigy.
Historic Italy: Large set of banknotes from the Kingdom of Italy (Regno d'Italia), 1000 Lire notes (Maria Montessori & Marco Polo), 500 Lire Mercure, 1977 Notgeld/necessity checks (mini-assegni) and an authentic Salerno fuel voucher.
International: Spain (Pesetas), Austria (Schilling), USSR/Russia (1961 25 Roubles Lenin), Greece (100 Drachmas), China (Jiao), and a German Notgeld necessity note.
