Jar - Baker's Stewpot - Copper

Antique Old Dutch 'Baker's Doofpot' – Red Copper & Brass – 19th Century.

This characteristic piece of craftsmanship dates from the 19th century and is in a very beautiful, authentic condition. The body is completely made of warm red copper that over the years has developed a splendid, deep patina. The doofpot is richly decorated with contrasting yellow-copper (brass) elements, including the sturdy, elegantly designed side handles, the decorative knob on the lid, and the robust feet on which the pot rests securely.

43 cm high and a weight of almost 4 kilograms
