Metal lamp in green, made in Italy, dating to the 1950s–1960s, with a height of 45 cm, width 24 cm and depth 28 cm, weighing 2.3 kg, with a single fitting and in working order in good condition.
Description from the seller
Excellent condition, the wire shows the classic yellowing of time.
Period around the 1950s.
Weight 2.3 kg
Measurements: height 45 cm, diameter of the upper part 25 cm,
Base: depth 21 cm, with a width that ranges from 9 cm (at the rear) to 14 cm at its widest part.
The triangular paper label under the base indeed shows the historic company logo with the drawing of the Mole Antonelliana (symbol of Turin), topped by the word "LUMIS" and accompanied by the manufacturer name "SEMINARA - TORINO".
Analysis of identifying details
The Brand: The Turin company Seminara was a pillar of industrial and office lighting production in Italy in the postwar period.
Often their models openly drew inspiration from the clean geometries of Bauhaus and Central European ministerial design, which is why the silhouette can mislead at first glance.
Worker's badge: The small white square tag with the inscription "OPERAIO 3" is the classic quality control tag of the era. It was inserted in the factory during the assembly line to identify the worker who had assembled or checked that specific batch.
Code 1000: The number stamped on the bottom in felt/pressed cardboard identifies the production series or the patent of the weighted base.
