Description from the seller
RS6 Avant 4.2 V8 Quattro
GENERAL:
Audi RS6 Avant quattro 4.2 V8 biturbo from December 2002, produced at quattro GmbH in Neckarsulm (Germany), is a specimen with a unique history and collector’s potential. The car was ordered for the Swiss market and factory catalogued as RS 6 Avant quattro 4.2 V8 331 A5 (VIN no. WUAZZZ4B53N901226).
This RS6 Avant C5 was produced at the end of 2002 — interestingly, just at that time quattro GmbH (today Audi Sport GmbH) was completing its first full year of RS6 model production. In 2002, just over 3,000 Avant versions were produced worldwide.
Thanks to its unique color combination (Avus Silver Pearl + Valcona black interior with white accents), excellent technical condition, and OE-part restoration, this example can easily be considered exceptional.
This is not just a car — it’s a story powered by a V8 biturbo.
According to Audi’s service history, the vehicle was regularly serviced at authorized stations from new until 2014.
Since being purchased by a Polish company in 2019, the car has been garaged and prepared for a comprehensive restoration, which began in June 2023.
The work took more than 1,500 man-hours, using exclusively original OE Audi parts, with no substitutes whatsoever.
Mileage: 154,940 km.
Additionally, on 25.11.2025 at a mileage of 154,950 km, a documented inspection was performed using new original Audi parts.
Replaced:
- Audi OE fuel filter
- Audi OE oil filter
- Motul 5W30 8100 x-Clean + 504 00/507 00 engine oil
- Spark plugs
- Audi OE radiator replacement for the oil cooler
- Audi OE water pump replacement
- Coolant replacement
BODYWORK/PAINTING:
Flagship body color of the Audi RS6: LYLJ – Avus Silver Pearl Effect. The paint finish has been verified with measurement and professionally renewed. The body is complete, with missing elements replenished exclusively with OE Audi parts.
Dry-ice underbody cleaning, underbody protection with Ibiotec. RS 19” wheel refurbishment — powder coating + wet finish. Fitted with Continental SportContact 235/35R19 tires. Underbody and body in a condition consistent with documentation and photos.
MECHANICAL:
Engine: 4.2 V8 biturbo (450 HP), original, without tuning alterations. Transmission: 5-speed automatic Tiptronic. Drivetrain: quattro. Factory sport exhaust system in stainless steel. Comprehensive suspension restoration (disassembly, inspection, rust treatment of bolts). Restored braking system using original Audi linings. Geometry set at a vehicle inspection station (2024-01-27). Diagnostic check as of 2024-02 — no faults.
Technical inspection valid until 02.07.2026

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
