Original umbrella stand Dedalo designed by Emma Gismondi Schweinberger for Artemide, one of the most famous examples of Italian design in plastic material.
Made in ivory-colored ABS printed plastic, it features the unmistakable cylindrical shape with a perforated top dome with circular openings that allow the housing and ventilation of umbrellas. An iconic object, exhibited in numerous collections dedicated to 20th-century Italian design.
At the bottom is the original embossed mark: "Studio Artemide Milano – Model Dedalo – Design Emma Gismondi Schweinberger – Made in Italy – Patent Pending".
The object is in fair condition, with signs of use and aging (surface scratches, slight abrasions and small marks on the surface) and a crack on the side, visible in the photographs. Ideal as an umbrella stand, but also as a decorative element for modern, vintage, or design-oriented interiors.
