The Gepe AWF 35 DX is a vintage analog compact camera (point-and-shoot) that was released around 1987. It is a simple, user-friendly camera that uses the standard 35mm film format (type 135). The main features and specifications of this model are:
Specifications & Features
Lens: Equipped with a fixed 35mm f/3.5 lens. This focal length is ideal for street and travel photography.
Film transport: It features Auto Wind (automatic advance after each shot) and Power Rewind (automatic rewinding when the film is finished). This increases ease of use compared to manual cameras from that era. DX System: The "DX" in the name indicates that the camera can automatically read the film's ISO value (sensitivity) via the barcodes on the film roll.
Flash: Built-in flash for low-light situations.
Manufacturer: Released under the Gepe brand (a brand also well known for its diorama frames and photo accessories). Production or distribution at the time took place from Germany.
