Satined cylindrical glass vase by the Belgian glass artist Louis Leloup, finished in purple and lilac tones with iridescent abstract raised decoration. The décor consists of freely applied organic shapes with a strong play of light and varying reflections depending on the illumination. The matte underside contrasts nicely with the glossy applications.

Louis Leloup, born in 1929, is a master glassmaker who worked for Val-Saint-Lambert and Daum. He enjoys international renown for his glass art and sculptural creations. In Kyoto (Japan) a full museum was dedicated to his work.
