Muraglia, Puglia, Italia; two 500 ml ceramic jars of 100% Italian extra virgin olive oil with PDO Olio Extravergine di Oliva, produced by Frantoio Muraglia.
Description from the seller
Lotto consisting of 2 500 ml ceramic jars from the POP ART line, POLIPO and SARDINE, as depicted, from left to right on each of them. Olio extravergine di oliva produced by FRANTOIO MURAGLIA, PUGLIA - ITALIA.
Frantoio Muraglia was founded in Andria, the capital of Puglian olive oil, five generations ago, but the patriarch of the family of springs counts 450. It is a majestic coratina olive tree, an autochthonous cultivar armed with polyphenols like few among the 538 Italian varieties classified. Our story of millers begins from this green giant that dominates our countryside on the Murgia plateau, a stretch of about 40 hectares of olive trees. We continue hand picking the olives and cold pressing in the ancient stone mill.
The jars belong to the POP ART series and are named: POLIPO and SARDINE, just as the images depicted, from left to right on each jar.
The POP ART collection jars, entirely handmade by Apulian artisans, are true design objects that bring you straight to the colors of the land and sea of Puglia. Pop, colorful marine elements: bright tones and matte cromies personalize octopuses, squids and fish that dart across the white ceramic, highlighting the purity and artisanal perfection; pastel streaks instead become glossy iridescences of the rainbow – Frantoio Muraglia’s distinctive iconography – that dive into the sea to customize vividly colored octopuses and reemerge to land, tinting the prickly pears with warmth.
