Hand-knotted wool rug, extra fine, floral design with two borders around.
Sold with its certificate of authenticity.
Imported in the 1980s.
In very good condition.
Kazak: These rugs are hand-knotted in Afghanistan. The pattern draws inspiration from Russian geometric motifs, and the wool is dyed with natural vegetable dyes. The rugs are wear-resistant with bright colors. They are stone-washed, which gives them a particular luster.

Kazak  : Ces tapis sont noués main en Afghanistan. Le décor s’inspire de motifs géométriques russes, et la laine est teintée avec des colorants végétaux naturels. Les tapis sont résistants à l’usure avec des couleurs vives. Ils sont lavés à la pierre, ce qui leur donne un lustre particulier.
