Description from the seller
Pino Pascali - Vittorio Rubiu / First edition De Luca, Rome, 1976 / With original dust jacket
Rare and important first edition of the monumental monograph dedicated to Pino Pascali (1935-1968), one of the major figures of 20th-century Italian art and a central figure of Arte Povera.
Curated by Vittorio Rubiu, with a foreword by Cesare Brandi, the work originated at the initiative of Fabio Sargentini, the historic gallerist of Galleria L'Attico in Rome, who contributed decisively to the diffusion of Pascali's work.
Published by De Luca Editore in 1976, it remains to this day one of the most complete monographic studies on the artist.
The volume gathers a richly detailed iconographic apparatus with photographs of the works, installations, and performances, many of which were created in the years immediately preceding the artist's passing.
Completing the volume: full biography; chronology; list of solo and group exhibitions; critical documentary; writings by Pino Pascali.
