Lavishly lacquered and painted Louis XV Console with Red Verona Marble Top
Elegant Italian console in the Louis XV style, dating from the mid-nineteenth century, characterized by a sinuous, flowing structure typical of the Rocaille taste. The piece features rich lacquered decoration and finely hand-painted polychrome floral motifs with central bucolic landscapes, framed by important gilded scrolls and cartouches.
The front fascia is embellished with a large central medallion depicting a pastoral scene, enclosed by a carved and gilded frame with foliate motifs, while the side panels are also decorated with floral insets and hand-painted details.
