Nibay model, attributed to Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Gavina, 1961
It is a rectangular extendable dining table, with a book-opening opening and a rotating mechanism that allows the tabletop surface to be easily expanded, and its bronze joints. Cylindrical legs and a top with a wood veneer treatment that creates a herringbone geometric pattern.
It features clean, minimalist lines typical of Scarpa's style, characterized by a rigorous and functional aesthetic. Made from fine wood, it stands out for the distinctive geometric design that enhances the natural grain of the wood.

Gavina SpA
Founded in Bologna in 1960 by Dino Gavina, Gavina is renowned for persuading masters such as Marcel Breuer to reissue Bauhaus classics (such as the Wassily chair), transforming artisanal production into high-quality industrial series. In 1968, the company was acquired by the American Knoll
