Fleur de Lys Cross Pendant in solid gold with a garnet cabochon, Byzantine style (c. 10th–11th Century AD), 3.6 cm long including loop, 11.8 g total weight, excellent condition, provenance: private British collection, acquired at a London auction (UK) in 2020; authenticity: refurbished original; comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Description from the seller
Each arm made of thick solid gold forming four fleur de lys at the terminals, the centre bezel set with a small cabochon round garnet, loop at the top for suspension. Extremely fine.
Size: 3.6 cm L (including loop) - 1 3/8 inch
Material: Gold and Garnet, total weight= 11.8 grms
Culture: Byzantine, c. 10th-11th Century A.D. or in the style of
Condition: Intact
Provenance: Private British collection before 1990. Acquired at a London auction.
