Reversing train of the Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) consisting of passenger train steam locomotive Series 23, local traffic coach ABnb 703 ‘Silberling’, 1st and 2nd class, local traffic coach Bnb 720 ‘Silberling’, 2nd class and local traffic driving trailer BDnf 738 ‘Silberling with rabbit-hutch head’, 2nd class with baggage space.
Electric connection between the vehicles. Power, front and rear signal lighting are switched with the direction of travel between the locomotive and the driving trailer. Front and rear signal lighting of the train depend on the direction of travel, and later a smoke generator can be installed in the locomotive; traditionally in operation, digitally switchable. Locomotive with Digital decoder mfx and sound generator (see below).
Controlled high-power drive Softdrive Sinus, maintenance-free motor in a compact construction. 3 axles driven. Anti-slip tires. Locomotive and tender largely metal. Short coupling with mechanical linkage between loco and tender. Equipped for smoke unit 7226. In digital operation, when the locomotive runs solo, the switching of the drawbar contact can be deactivated and the normal light change activated. In traditional operation, when the locomotive runs solo, only the switching of the drawbar contact can be deactivated.
Lighting with warm-white LEDs. On the locomotive and on the tender, mechanically guided couplings in the NEM socket. Imitations of the brake hose and piston rod protective sleeves included.
Commuter coach ‘Silberlinge’ with Minden-Deutz leicht bogies in combination with dual block brakes. Driving trailer with direction-dependent light change of 3 x white to 2 x red with warm-white LEDs. All cars prepared for the installation of interior lighting 73400/73401 (2x).
Total length over buffers: 109.4 cm.

Note: the locomotive operates only after coupling to a wagon with a swan neck (or all wagons) at the front of the locomotive where there is a through-coupling. Only then will the locomotive be recognized!
