A rare and sought-after Philips GP 422 Super M quadraphonic moving magnet phono cartridge from the mid-1970s, mounted on a GOLD-PLATED HEADSHELL with all four lead wires connected. Features a Shibata stylus — the precision line-contact design required for CD-4 quadraphonic records, and highly valued for its exceptional stereo performance as well.

The GP 422 Super M is capable of playing both conventional stereo and CD-4 quadraphonic vinyl records. Highly regarded among vintage hi-fi and vinyl collectors worldwide.
