The 8-channel PLENA Matrix DSP-based zone mixer PLENA Matrix PLM‑8M8 was designed to provide the highest levels of flexibility and reliability. It is the heart and soul of the PLENA matrix system. When used in conjunction with the PLM‑8CS paging consoles, the PLM‑WCP wall control panels and the PLM‑4Px2x amplifiers; it is suitable for most applications requiring a maximum of 8 voice and high-fidelity ambient music (BGM) zones.

The audio quality is suitable for applications such as live music, ambient music, speeches in demanding environments and zone-based announcements.

Some common applications include: shopping centers, schools, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, cafés, gyms, recreational spaces, churches, warehouses, office buildings, regional airports, railway stations, bus terminals, boardrooms, meeting rooms, conference facilities, small theme parks, museums, backstage areas of performing arts centers, and sports stadiums.
