Antique solid silver sugar bowl with lid (950), in Louis XVI style, by L. Lapar S. De Beguin of Paris, dating to the late 19th century; weight 438 g and dimensions 15 × 14 × 12 cm, in generally good used condition with minor dings and no restorations.

Magnificent solid-silver lidded sugar consoler with two handles, from the late 19th century (Napoleon III / early Third Republic period).
Description:
Elegant and heavy lidded sugar pot in solid silver, two side handles, dating from the late 19th century. Of a bold form with wide tapering ribs (beading), it features a magnificent Louis XVI style decor, intricately carved with garlands of laurel leaves suspended by tied ribbons. The side handles are richly decorated with foliage and stylized volutes. The removable lid is surmounted by a superb fruit-shaped knob, or burst grenade, resting on a terrace of acanthus leaves.
Parisian workmanship of high quality from a prestigious silversmith house on Rue de Choiseul.
Silversmith / Signature: Engraved in full beneath the base "L. LAPAR S^R DE BEGUIN PARIS" along with the master silversmith’s mark.
Pencils / Hallmarks: French State guarantee mark "Minerva 1st Title" (950/1000) present on the body and on the rim of the lid.
Total weight: 438 grams (measured on an electronic balance).
Serial / Inventory number: Engraved under the base "36367".
Condition: Excellent overall condition. Nice patina with minor signs of wear consistent with age. There are indentations but no restorations to report. Interior very clean.
A refined table silver piece, highly collectible and bearing a sought-after signature.
