Description from the seller
Very large and heavy Neolithic polished axe made of dolerite. It is about 4500-6000 years old. These axes were shaped by bouchardage and later polished at the edge. They were fitted with wooden handles and were primary tools for forestry work. In perfect condition, nice signs of use on the edge.
