Vintage Iittala Savoy medium-sized vase designed by Alvar Aalto in Finland, made of mouth-blown white glass, dimensions 154 × 150 × 120 mm, weight 576 g, dating from 1970–1980, in excellent condition with the original sticker and signature on the base.

Vintage Iittala Aalto Opal White Maljakko medium-sized vase is a Finnish classic designed in 1936 by Alvar Aalto. Each vase handmade by the skilled glassblowers of the Iittala glass factory. Iittala's Aalto vase is known as a Finnish design and glass art classic, captivating with its organic and ambiguous form.
The manufacturing technique follows the original method; the vase is mouth-blown into a wooden mold. This gives the vase a softer shape due to its characteristic design.
The iconic design is inspired by the Finnish landscape from its youth, and it is both functional and sculptural. The vase bears the original sticker and is signed on the bottom.
• There are no fewer than 7 skilled craftsmen, 12 production stages, 1100 degrees Celsius, and 30 hours required to guide one Aalto vase through all the production steps.
