A splendid example of the legendary Ensign Midget (Model 55) is offered, produced from 1934 by the renowned British manufacturer Houghton-Butcher. This camera was revolutionary in the market at the time as the "1934 Camera Miracle" with the famous slogan: "Wear it Always—Like your Watch". This is the most luxurious and advanced version in the Midget range (Model 55), recognizable by the superior Ensar-Anastigmat f/6.3 lens with adjustable aperture and focusing. The camera folds into pocket size via a clever leaf spring system (strut folder). An absolute eyecatcher for collectors of early miniature- or subminiature photography and enthusiasts of classic industrial design!
